Ohio’s All-Time Wrestling Team (Actually, Since 1988)

OhioWrestlingSite.com has compiled the following all-time team for Ohio wrestling.  Because of the difficulty of comparing wrestlers across vastly different eras, only those who graduated in 1988 or after (the year the weight classes changed) are considered.
The criteria for making this team is who was the best in a particular season- not career.  It should further be noted that since in many instances dominant wrestlers have wrestled up a weight class because they could win pretty much anywhere- wrestlers will be shifted into what would have been their optimal weights, since this is the all-time team. The grade the wrestler was in for the year they are ranked is denoted after their name.
Ok, now that the disclaimers are out of the way, here it is:

The Best of the Rest:

Ohio has had an inordinate concentration of great wrestlers at the 135, 140, 145, 152, and 160 lb. weight classes.  As a result, the following very deserving wrestlers were left off the team: John Vaughn, Jimmy Johnson, Sonny Marchette, Jake Percival, Tony Pariano, Matt McIntyre, Joey Pflug, Yoshi Nakamura, Josh Robbins, Bill Lacure, Nick Mengerink, Gray Maynard, David Erwin, and Rick Hepp.  Comments or criticims are welcome (and expected) on the ohiowrestlingsite.com Message Forum (accessible from the homepage).
